Hookers, priests, and whips, oh my! The one and only God David Bowie released his new video for the title track of his new album, “The Next Day,” and it’s certainly something else! Bowie plays the entertainment for a religious brothel, standing tall on a makeshift stage dressed in garb more appropriate for “The Passion Of The Christ,” yet, of course, pulling it off seamlessly. Ripe with religious imagery, the video does little to answer countless burning questions, such as:
- What year is it?
- Why is there an orphan in a brothel in the first place?
- How did Silas from The Da Vinci Code get in the video?
- Do all priests have Fonzie haircuts?
- Are eyeballs the normal diet for prostitutes?
