Ed Sheeran and Mike Rosenberg, better known as Passenger, have proven themselves as a musical “A Team.” The two performed a mashup of everyone’s favorite new and old jams, “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and “No Diggity” by Blackstreet & Dr. Dre, showing that acoustic guitars and soothing voices can have a place in hip-hop after all.
In a time of countless out of tune covers and downright weird renditions constantly trying to gain exposure, Ed Sheeran and Passenger remind us that there is still a way to do it right. In Passenger’s Facebook caption for the video, he wrote that “it was lots of fun and about as gangster as i get.”
