Note to self: I miss you terribly, pink eyeshadow wearing Sonny. While he has been absolutely dominating the dubstep and EDM scene under the moniker Skrillex, we all know (and if you don’t, shame on you) that Sonny Moore got his start in the music industry fronting screamo band From First To Last when he was just a teenager.
I would have laughed in your face if in 2005 you told me that he would end up a Grammy winning DJ, but here we are and I have to say, he’s not doing too bad for himself. BUT, when I saw that he tweeted about a possible return to his screamo roots, I can’t say that my early high school studded-belt-to-the-side wearing self didn’t squeal a little bit with excitement. The tweet reads:
Would be so dope to make a screamo Ep for fun, nothing id tour off of or take too seriously
I know, I know. Just “for fun,” but what else could you really expect? Let’s hope this wasn’t just to get the old FFTL fangirls/boys all riled up for nothing and that we can have our old Sonny back for just one EP. I may also be crossing my fingers for a return to the old look for the cover art.
