We’re Truly “Speechless” – Florida Family Association To Use Plane To Protest Lady Gaga’s Tour

There are some things – and people – out there that you simply have to shake your head and sigh at, and this just so happens to be one of them. In a move that has nearly everyone simultaneously groaning and rolling their eyes, the Florida Family Association has reached deep in their close-minded wallets and rented a plane for $1,900 to protest Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way Ball 2013.” The plane will fly over the heads of concertgoers and advertise the “clever” headline: “NOT BORN THIS WAY.”  After announcing their plan, a message was put on the group’s website, stating,

“How would you feel if your child or grandchild went to a concert where unbeknownst to you they were convinced to embrace a homosexual or transgender lifestyle for a lifetime?”

While I understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, even if you’re wrong, I find it pretty sad that an organization that prides itself on positive family values would try to spin Gaga’s message about accepting oneself into a bad thing.  It’s appalling that they could mistake accepting people for who they are for some sort of “mission” to turn people. Hopefully, this hateful message does not discourage any of Gaga’s fans from being comfortable and having fun in a place that preaches nothing but love.  Don’t let the haters get you down, Monsters: you were born this way.
