Yes, the album is called Mosquito. Yes, that is the artwork. Yes, it’s terrible (or terribly awesome?). Mosquito is set to release on April 16th, marking their first studio album since 2009. In an interview with Pitchfork, vocalist Karen O commented on the album’s sound saying “The album is extremely lo-fi. We had a shitty drum machine, a shitty sampled keyboard, tons of delay on the vocals. There’s a real tone, character, and style to it.” You can check out the teaser trailer for the album below.
